Scholar - Rabbi Mendy Gutnick

Rabbi Mendy Gutnick, a native of Melbourne, Australia, is the scion of a long line of Rabbis. His father and grandfather both served as Chief Rabbis and heads of the Bet Din in Melbourne. In 1998 Rabbi Gutnick, received his rabbinic ordination at the Central Lubavitch Yeshiva in New York. He continued his post graduate studies at the renowned Kollel Menachem in Melbourne Australia where he received a diploma in practical Rabbinics. While in Australia he served as an associate rabbi and was very involved in adult education classes and outreach. Since arriving in Florida in late 2001 Rabbi Gutnick has worked primarily in Jewish Adult Education, serving as Director at Chabad of Parkland's Educational Department. Between Rabbi Gutnick’s Tuesday night Torah Class and his Thursday evening JLI class more than 100 people participate weekly. Rabbi Gutnick serves as Rabbi to the Chabad Congregation in West Parkland catering to the diverse needs of the 500 Jewish families in the immediate area. Rabbi Gutnick is also a faculty member of the Boynton Beach Kollel.
